Oktoberfest was not only fun to be at but it was fun to get to know everyone who was a part of this event. I was able to talk to a lot of people and learn about their culture by just being at the festival! Oktoberfest is a well known event all over the world and Columbia impressed me with the turn out. I was there in the early evening on the first day of the festival and the workers said they have already gotten a huge rush at lunch. The band was made up by authentic German musicians who were passionate about the music they played for everyone. I really enjoyed being in the atmosphere and hearing about different peoples’ lives.
