Rebranding of Farmer & the Belle

About the Project

Started Feb 2018 and the relationship has evolved to be a part of the team!

Farmer & the Belle is a home fragrance company in Mooresville, North Carolina. They are a family owned and run business that has been growing a lot over the last year. The products are 100% natural soy wax with truly amazing and unique scents.

My Role

Branding, Packaging design, UX/UI Design

The Need

This company really needed help with creating a consistent and recognized brand.

This included: a logo, a website, and unique packaging.

The Inspiration

Obviously, we are all inspired by Chip and Joanna Gaines from Fixer Upper on HGTV but when I met Selena and Dan Gibbons (the owners), it felt like I had met the same fun-loving couple I watched on TV.  I talked with Selena about what her goals with the company were and who she was inspired by. She said she loved the classic yet rustic and warm look that Joanna gives all of their clients. Perfect.

For logo ideas, they knew they knew that a house had to be incorporated because they feel like it represents who they are as a family. This couple is all about family and having a wonderful home to always come back to.

Some Images from the Mood Board

(I do not own any of these… all from Pinterest)

The Logo

I had a strong feeling of what direction to start with so I just dove right into sketching.

Sketching on paper led to sketching on Illustrator.

The Result

The Packaging

I wanted to create a unique look for the individual scents.

The Website

This client wanted a space for wholesale clients and new customers to come and learn more about who they are as well as purchase more items.
